Investment Principal

Dhanush Ram is an Investment Principal at Speciale Invest, where he focuses on deeptech software and enterprise SaaS. An entrepreneur at heart, his journey began in college when he co‑founded a gamified edtech startup, giving him firsthand experience of building from zero to one. He later worked as a Full Stack Developer at Philips Innovation Campus, sharpening his technical foundation before moving into venture capital.

At Speciale, Dhanush leads sourcing, diligence, and portfolio management across the software vertical, while also supporting fundraising for both the fund and portfolio companies. He has a keen interest in partnering with technical founders at the earliest stages, helping them navigate product, strategy, and growth. His investment interests span AI/ML, AR/VR, semiconductors, and robotics, with a strong conviction that the world is shifting from Software 1.0 (human‑written code) to Software 2.0 (data‑driven, AI‑powered systems).

Dhanush holds a Master of Software from VIT University. Outside of work, he enjoys experimenting with no‑code tools, indulging in South Indian food and filter coffee, and building side‑projects that keep him close to the craft of product creation.
